We decided to take a Saturday drive through McDowell to visit with my second family. Ed got to meet baby August and Alan played us his new banjitar. Kudzu has covered nearly everything and more buildings have collapsed. I love that county and the people it holds.

I really can't even begin to explain the diversity of landscape we have been able to see in the past week. We have taken thousands of photos, videos and sounds and every corner we turn are tempted to collect more. Scotland is gorgeous but the highlands and western isles have my heart.
